TOLTON: FROM SLAVE TO PRIEST | MEDIA KIT |
|
Tolton: From Slave to Priest, the powerful live production performed by actor Jim Coleman and directed by Leonardo Defilippis of Saint Luke Productions, will be presented at Saint Joseph High School on Tuesday, April 24 at 7:00pm and at Bishop Luers High School on Thursday, April 26 at 7:00pm.
"I encourage parishes to promote this show and recommend attendance to all the faithful around the Diocese to learn more Father Tolton's story about courage, perseverance and forgiveness as the first African American priest. This multi-media production brings to life one man's heroic story of being a true-life witness to the Gospel. Overcoming seemingly insurmountable hardships, persecution for his faith and skin color, Fr. Tolton's life continues to remind all the faithful what God can accomplish through the lives of those who remain faithful to His call. What might have remained a story of despair, has now become a testament to the power of forgiveness, mercy and reconciliation." -Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades
